The Invisibles
In a class based society [like ours] the dictatorship or domination of one class can make other weaker or subordinate classes invisible.  If one can take liberty of extending classical Marxian definition of economic based class to include race based class, the class distinctions are sharply manifested in social realms where class lines cut across economic status.  Individual identities are homogenized to class identities, and a mere belongingness to a certain class can make one invisible.  It is then when value of life of member of the dominant class exceeds the value of life of member of the weaker class.  When members of the weaker class die it is commonplace and passing affair, requiring no attention; the death the killings of the weaker class are acceptable events as they are carried out by the dominant class, and they don’t outrage people of the dominant class because obviously the lives of the weaker class are worthless and quite disposable.  However, if there is a blowback of this and the weaker class kills people of dominant class then it becomes a global outrage and sanctity of human life takes central position in the mainstream discourse which obviously is controlled by the stronger class as is the superstructure of society.  In a just and classless society this cruel inconsistency would be unthinkable and completely unacceptable, but that’s not the world we live in.

We live in a world where the ‘civilized’ white western world rains bombs on weak and defenseless civilians, kills children with impunity, invades and destroys weak nations, commits unspeakable crimes against humanity, displaces and kills millions who don’t even enter into any statistics but are mere collateral damage, where the world is a playground for vested interests, and anyone opposing this aggression and claiming sovereignty is brutally massacred, murdered by war machines and mercenary armies, where torture to death is an acceptable norm, where world treaties and conventions exist only on paper for weaker countries to follow, where self-righteous arrogance and exceptionalism rules, where the grotesque white man’s burden is to civilize the non-whites by killing them, occupying their land and resources, brutally retaliating at any perceived or non-perceived resistance or a threat to their interests which strangely exist outside their country’s borders, where the freedom of speech is only for the white race, where they can mock, ridicule, insult, degrade other races and their customs and religion but even a slight hint of same kind of freedom exercised by other races is intolerable and considered as worst perversion; where the underlying unifying thread of white supremacy can get millions to throng together at the death of a few of their men while they kill millions of darker hued people without any pangs of guilt or any stress on collective conscience; where the injustice is glaring for colored people, where the victims are criminalized and their murderers are let go by the racist courts; where the police brutality is particularly directed towards people of color and the police themselves are nothing but paid guards of capitalist/imperialist white class; this is a world where people, their lives become invisible as the hue of their color gets darker.
